Practice Principal, Diploma in Clinical Implant Dentistry, Sedationist
Philip obtained his Degree in dentistry from Glasgow University in 2002.
He is one of the few Scottish dentists with a postgraduate qualification in dental implants, being awarded a Diploma in Implant Dentistry from Newcastle University in 2017. Newcastle is recognised as the 32nd Best Dental School in the World.
Philip places dental implants to replace single, multiple or a full set of teeth. He is a member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI).
He is experienced in the management of anxious patients via IV Sedation and is a mentor for the 'Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry' (SAAD), helping to train other dentists in the safe use of IV sedation.
Previously, he worked at Leeds General Infirmary and Leeds Dental Institute treating patients with facial trauma and oral cancer.

Greig McLean graduated from the University of Glasgow Dental School in 2001 with the dental degree BDS, having won prizes for his elective work in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery as well as publishing in this area.
Following a short period of time in dental practice in Glasgow, he moved to work in the specialty of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Glasgow's Southern General Hospital, University Hospital Aintree in Liverpool & Arrowe Park Hospital on the Wirral in Merseyside.
In 2003 he passed the postgraduate exam of the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow (MFDS RCPS). In 2007 he was subsequently appointed as an examiner for the same exam at the Glasgow College.
Greig returned to the University of Glasgow in 2004 to commence undergraduate studies in Medicine, and graduated in 2007 with the medical degree MB ChB. He has worked in the West of Scotland in surgical training up until 2012, when he returned to dentistry in a full-time capacity. He has successfully passed Advanced Life Support (ALS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) & Care of the Critically Ill Surgical Patient (CCrISP) courses.
Since 2004, he has worked continuously in private dental practice in Glasgow and the West of Scotland. His main interests are Cosmetic Dentistry, Dental Implants, Surgical Dentistry and Sedation for Anxious Patients.
The mainstay of Greig's clinical practice is the provision of implant based solutions for patients. He has over 13 years experience with dental implants, from the provision of a single tooth implant to full arch restorations including All-on-4. Greig has been trained in the U.K as well as attending international courses in France, Austria, Spain and Brazil.
Greig focuses on providing optimal patient care, tailored to each individual patient and their personal situation.

Arlene graduated from the University of Glasgow.
Arlene is delighted to contribute to a brand new, state of the art NHS dental practice here in Erskine. She wants to offer this community a fresh start in dental health. The care of our patients is at the heart of everything Arlene does.
Arlene understands that every patient is unique, and to that end she aims to deliver as comprehensive a range of treatments tailored to every individual. As well as routine dental care, Arelene provides sedation for her nervous patients (of which there are many!) She takes great satisfaction in caring for families, and tries to make visits for children fun and places great focus on the prevention of dental problems.
For the appearance conscious, whether it’s a few lines and wrinkles or you just want to look and feel a bit fresher, Arlene can help. She holds advanced qualification in wrinkle reduction and dermal fillers and provides free consultations.
Day to day Arlene is preoccupied with ways to improve the practice to bring you the highest standard of care. Any free time Arlene has is spent in the gym or travelling. She loves visiting remote areas in Scotland and trying the local food and drink.
Craig graduated from Glasgow University with a Prestigious Commendation award in 2002.
He has dedicated his entire career to caring for patients in General Practice; as a result, he has a large number of patients who travel long distances to see him.
Craig also performs sedation in a wide range of scenarios from treating nervous patients to performing complicated procedures.
In addition, he provides care for a large number of families in the area.
John Paul graduated from the University of Glasgow.
JP constantly aims to develop his skillset and knowledge, and in 2015 was awarded the MJDF qualification granting entry to the Royal College of Surgeons in London. He has also developed a keen interest in the treatment of dental anxiety having completed a 7-day course in sedation.
John Paul enjoys building relationships with his patients while restoring their teeth into a comfortable, pain-free condition. He understands the impact appearance of a person's teeth can impact their confidence and self-consciousness, and enjoys working with his patients to resolve these issues where possible.
Outside of dentistry JP enjoys travelling and playing football when he can. He also enjoys supporting charities, having taken part in a number of events and endurance challenges for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
John graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2015, with an honours award.
To broaden his surgical skills, he worked with the maxillofacial surgery team at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where he looked after patients with oral cancer, facial trauma and severe dental infections.
For John, patient wellbeing is of the utmost importance. He thoroughly enjoys working with his patients and the rest of the dental team to provide a high standard of care, making people's teeth look and feel great.
He is also undergoing further training in sedation to treat anxious patients, and in cosmetic tooth aligners to help straighten teeth.
In addition to our Dental team, we also have two Dental Therapists at the Practice. Our therapists perform a wide vital role in the Practice and are specifically trained to help patients maintain healthy teeth and gums as well as carrying out a range of dental procedures.
Rosalyn qualified from Glasgow Dental Hospital in 2005 and joined Erskine Dental Care soon after it opened in 2010.
She has played an important role in helping many patients achieve an improved level of oral care, thereby, reducing their need for dental treatment.
Rosalyn has a supportive and understanding personality with which her patients can easily relate. If anyone at the Practice can be called an unsung hero, it is Rosalyn.
Jim also qualified from Edinburgh Dental Institute in 2008. For what he lacks in hair, Jim makes up for in personality!
The Practice was lucky to recruit Jim in 2013 as he brings extensive experience in dealing with a wide range of patient needs. Throughout his career, Jim has become accustomed to treating patients whose needs vary from having minor gum problems to those whose teeth have been replaced completely with dental implants. He uses his clinical skills and knowledge to help his patients achieve and maintain a healthy smile.
Arlene is a Dentist, qualifying with Honours, as well as an advanced practitioner in facial aesthetics.
